Hero
A hero section for a homepage is a prominent and visually striking area that immediately captures visitors' attention and communicates key messages or brand identity. Typically placed at the top of the page, it often features compelling imagery or video alongside concise text to engage users and encourage further exploration of the site.
This specific hero block is quite simple in it's form that it takes an image for the background and only uses some variations of text and a call to action. Let's take a look at what the fields do.
Background Image - Self explanatory, the image featured in this block.
Tagline - An optional field, displayed as a snippet of handwritten text often called an "eyebrow."
Title - The bold text folks often first see when landing on the page.
Text - A subheading below the title.
Buttons - A good call to action can move the needle. By adding text to the Button Label field and selecting Show Button Controls we can link our button to an Entry, URL, E-mail, Telephone, SMS, or Asset.
Text Content Position - The side of the page we want our text to be displayed (left/right).
In conclusion, the Hero block serves as a focal point on a homepage, captivating visitors with captivating imagery or video, while succinctly conveying essential messages or brand identity. This straightforward hero block utilizes background images and various text elements, including taglines, titles, and buttons, to engage users and drive interaction, enhancing the overall user experience and encouraging further exploration of the website.
