Which plastic is best for channel letters?

Acrylic is the industry standard for channel letter faces because of its excellent light transmission, weather resistance, and availability in a wide range of colors and finishes. Polycarbonate may also be used when greater impact resistance is required. ACM may also be used for channel letter backings.
