Piedmont Plastics was presented as a Gold Award Recipient for the International Association of Plastics Distribution’s 2014 Education Circle of Champions. Piedmont was selected for their commitment to continuing plastics education and sales training through IAPD’s training programs and educational resources. The award was recognized in a special video presentation during the 58th Annual IAPD Convention and Plastics Expo in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. “The award recipients this year have gone above and beyond in their companies to prepare and train their employees on properties, benefits, applications and life cycle of plastics and are well-deserving of this achievement,” said IAPD CEO Susan E. Avery, CAE.
The Education Circle of Champions has three award levels: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The criteria for the award is very demanding as there are many components that qualify a company for this prestigious award. Each company must have a percentage of employees pass the IAPD Plastics Certificate Program Level I and/or Excellence in Sales Certificate Program Level I exam. Piedmont Plastics employees excelled in both requirements. The education and training will advance Piedmont’s employees knowledge and expertise in the plastics industry, and the company's continued success in 2014 couldn’t be possible without its hardworking employees. Their persistent success will help propel Piedmont Plastics as one of the most successful plastics distributors in North America.
