IAPD Announces 2017 Scholarship Recipients

The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD) is pleased to announce that 13 recipients have been awarded a 2017 IAPD Scholarship through the IAPD Charitable Foundation. Annual IAPD scholarships are awarded based on a student's academic achievement and extracurricular activities.

The following students have been awarded a 2017 IAPD Scholarship:

  • Ingrid Block, daughter of Michael Block, an employee of Saint-Gobain Performance Products

  • Nicole Bradford, daughter of Bill Bradford, an employee of Piedmont Plastics

  • Dalton Bui, son of Thanh Bui, an employee of Braskem America, Inc.

  • Tara DiFazio, daughter of Gary DiFazio, an employee of Piedmont Plastics

  • Rayce Harrison, son of Leif Harrison, an employee of Polymershapes

  • Abigail Hubbard, daughter of Craig Russell, an employee of Regal Plastic Supply, Inc.

  • Julia Hurley, daughter of Steven Hurley, an employee of Polymershapes

  • Zachary Kerstens, an industrial distribution student

  • Isabella Kreko, daughter of Russell Kreko, an employee of Regal Plastic Supply, Inc.

  • Krista Russell, daughter of Beth Russell, an employee of Cope Plastics, Inc.

  • Hannah Smith, daughter of Ronald Smith, an employee of Braskem America, Inc.

  • Rachel Smith, daughter of John Smith, an employee of Plaskolite

  • William VanSolkema, son of Jeremy VanSolkema, an employee of Piedmont Plastics

IAPD member company employees, children of member company employees and students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for professional sales are eligible to apply for the IAPD scholarship.

IAPD scholarships are funded by donations from IAPD member companies and individuals in the plastics industry, as well as IAPD and its for-profit subsidiary, Association Services International. Each year, scholarships are awarded in amounts up to $5,000.
