On September 23 in San Diego, California, Piedmont Plastics was a bronze-level recipient of IAPD’s Environmental Excellence Award, which celebrates environmentally responsible practices of IAPD member companies. This is the first year that Piedmont Plastics submitted an application to participate in IAPD’s Environmental Excellence program. Piedmont has taken huge strides in improving its environmental awareness with the formation of a company-wide Green Team, plastic reclamation program, and a Natural Solutions product line drawing attention to products containing recycled content. In attendance to receive the award were President Chip Whitfield, Chief Sales Officer Bill Barth, Regional Manager Bob Rosegay, District Manager Carlos Bennett, Corporate Project Manager Scott Statter, and Director of Supply Chain Brent Brelsford. Piedmont is proud of this Environmental Excellence recognition and would like to continue making strides to improve the environment for its employees, community, and plastics distribution.
